He will oversee and manage all activities of the firm’s salesforce and client relations. Benear is an executive-level hospitality sales and marketing professional with a proven track record of success delivering solutions aligned with customer needs.

Prior to joining Wyndham Jade, Benear served as Vice Present of Sales and Business Development for the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), where he restructured the sales and marketing efforts to support the needs of membership. Before IAVM, he spent six years in Austin, Texas, as Senior Vice President at the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). He led the effort to elevate the City of Austin’s brand to become a premier meetings and convention destination. His CVB business development experience extends beyond Austin to the Denver, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington, D.C., markets. Benear’s experience also includes working with tradeshow decorators such as Hargrove Inc. and GES and 15 years with Hilton Hotels.
