Number One Consumer Brands are Selecting the Arrayent Connect™ Platform to Power Their Connected Product Initiatives

Household name brands Whirlpool Corporation, Pentair, and First Alert join Mattel, Monster Products, Chamberlain, and LiftMaster in adopting Arrayent’s Connect Platform to power their connected products

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Arrayent, Inc., the emerging leader in connected product platforms for consumer products, announced today that three major product brands, Whirlpool Corporation, Pentair, and First Alert, have chosen the Arrayent Connect™ Platform to power their forthcoming connected consumer products. These companies join Arrayent’s existing major brand customers, Monster Products, Mattel, Hunter Fan, LiftMaster, and Chamberlain which are already shipping connected products powered by the Arrayent Connect Platform.

A growing number of consumer product companies are bringing to market products that can be monitored and controlled by smartphone apps. Examples include the Hunter Fan Universal Internet Thermostat to save homeowners money, LiftMaster and Chamberlain MyQ-enabled garage door openers, gate operators, and light switches to help consumers feel more secure, and the Monster Products line of HTUPS (home theater uninterruptible power supplies) that can be serviced remotely by service technicians.

Before Arrayent, companies had to choose between commissioning expensive cellular M2M connectivity solutions (impractical for consumer products sold at retail) or their own IT departments to write the custom communications software necessary to provide two-way, low-latency, secure communications between the products and the smartphone app. Arrayent saw the opportunity to build a commercial platform that solved a common problem across a number of consumer brands that will be deploying millions of connected products a year.

“We are pleased to be able to say that Arrayent customers are the number one brands in their respective consumer product categories. These companies clearly see the connected product opportunity enabled by the mobile Internet. They have chosen to partner with Arrayent because we specialize in solving the technically challenging problem of delivering scalable, secure, low-cost connectivity,” said Shane Dyer, president and founder of Arrayent. Mr. Dyer went on to say, “These number one brands have extensively surveyed the landscape, and we are honored that they have selected the Arrayent Connect Platform to power their exciting connected product initiatives.”
