ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Georgia Music Partners (GMP), the advocacy arm of The Recording Academy® Atlanta Chapter, today congratulates the 30 plus GRAMMY® nominations garnered from the Peach State. GMP is a non-profit advocate for promoting the business of music and related music technology in the state of Georgia.
Leading in nominations is Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse), Janelle Monáe, and Tauheed Epps (aka 2 Chainz) each with three nominations. Burton’s work was highlighted with The Black Keys for their platinum-selling album El Camino, while Monáe was featured on the hit “We Are Young,” which she performed with fun. on the GRAMMY® Nominations Concert Live. Epps is nominated for Best Rap Album for “Based On A T.R.U. Story” as well as his work with Kanye West. In addition, André 3000 (Outkast) received two nominations for his work with Young Jeezy and Frank Ocean. Burton, Monáe, and André 3000 are all nominated for their roles in the prestigious Album of the Year category.
