NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wells Fargo Securities, the capital markets and investment banking business of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), today announced that Greg Reiter has joined the firm as managing director and head of Residential Mortgage Research. Based in Charlotte, NC, Reiter will lead the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) research team in developing strategy, publishing research and generating investment ideas for institutional investors. Reiter reports to Marielle Jan de Beur, head of Structured Products Research.

Reiter joined Wells Fargo Securities from Freddie Mac, where he was responsible for developing RMBS securitization strategies, as well as broadening investor and dealer outreach efforts. His previous sell-side research experience includes serving as managing director and head of Agency MBS Strategy for the Royal Bank of Scotland and director of Agency CMO, hybrid ARM and specified pool strategy at UBS Investment Bank. While at UBS, Reiter was the #1 ranked analyst in both Agency Structured Products (CMOs) and Agency ARMs in the Institutional Investor All America research team surveys.
Reiter also has extensive buy-side experience managing large institutional MBS portfolios at the World Bank and Charles Schwab Investment Management. He holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
