OLD LYME, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reeves Callaway, Founder of Callaway Cars, Inc., confirmed today that the company plans to display examples of its newest Callaway Corvettes and SportTrucks at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Reeves and his staff will also debut a new California Resident Purchase Program. Administered from their new Santa Ana factory, this program eases the process of acquiring Callaway cars and trucks by Golden State residents. In addition, the LA Auto Show marks the introduction of the Callaway Corvette GSR, GSRR and GT3 race cars, based on machines built and campaigned by Callaway Competition of Leingarten Germany, yet constructed in Callaway’s US facilities.
The 2012 model year commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Callaway Corvette, introduced by Chevrolet in 1987 with Callaway's Twin Turbo "RPO B2K" option. Included in the Callaway exhibit will be a limited production 2012 25th Anniversary Callaway Corvette SC620 (with reactivated RPO B2K), a 2013 Callaway Corvette SC652 / Commemorative Edition 427 Convertible, a Callaway Silverado SC540 and a Callaway Tahoe SC450. Select apparel and collectibles from the new Callaway Collections line will also be on display and offered for sale.
Press Days are scheduled for Nov. 28-29, and the show is open to the public from Nov. 30 through Dec. 9. The Callaway exhibit will be located in the Los Angeles Convention Center’s Concourse Hall, Exhibit No. C-8. Reeves Callaway will conduct a Press Conference at the display on Thursday, Nov 29, at 11:20-11:30 AM.
