FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) announced today the successful completion of the Partners Program by the 16th graduating class in program history.

The ACT-IAC Partners Program is an executive leadership development program that pairs 16 government and 16 industry professionals for a nine-month period, to help prepare them for their future roles at the Senior Executive Service (SES) and company officer levels. The program is the only program of its kind that allows for a direct partnership between government and industry professionals. Graduates of the program enhance their abilities to make critical decisions in the information technology arena and to be more effective leaders.

ACT-IAC also announced the opening of the application process for the 2013 Partners Program. 2013 Partners Program participants are nominated for the highly competitive program by their respective agency or company, which also must sponsor the participants. Prospective participants must complete and submit an application. Each application is reviewed and evaluated by a panel of senior government and industry executives on their individual professional leadership accomplishments and their potential for future advancement within their organization.

After successful completion of this foundational program, individuals continue their executive development in the highly regarded community of ACT-IAC Fellows, a trusted, collaborative network made up of more than 500 government and industry executives.
