REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Openwave Messaging, Inc., the leading global provider of innovative messaging software solutions, today announced the addition of two executives, Tracy Allard as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Farooq Ali as Senior Vice President of Products. The two join an executive team including Kelly S. Sharpe, Chief Financial Officer; Ian Gillott, Chief Information Officer; and Peter Biber, Vice President Services & Support. The executive team will report to Dave Ratner, president and CEO. The company also unveiled its new brand and website.

Tracy Allard is a proven sales leader with 25 years of experience spanning both Telco and industrial markets. As Vice President of Worldwide Sales, she is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives. Allard specializes in sales operations, contract and commercial negotiations and building and managing strong sales organizations with demonstrated track records of delivering against target plans. Additionally, Allard brings deep international experience having successfully led teams in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Farooq Ali, a technology evangelist with over 20 years of technical, product, and business development expertise joined the team as Senior Vice President of Products. In this role, Ali is responsible for overseeing the company’s product lifecycle from research and development, to product management and marketing. He specializes in strategy and research for emerging technologies, as well as product planning and execution.
In May of this year Openwave Messaging announced the finalization of its acquisition by Marlin Equity Partners. The company now operates as a new private and independent company focused exclusively on developing and delivering world-class innovative messaging solutions to its customers and partners, including some of the largest communications providers. David Ratner, a messaging and communications executive for over 15 years, was appointed president and CEO in July.
