Ethernet Alliance’s TeraFabric Plugfest Addresses Need for Greater Interoperability in Today’s Converged Data Centers

Latest interoperability testing event attracts interest and support from broad array of Ethernet technology developers, solutions providers, and equipment manufacturers

BEAVERTON, Ore.--()--The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technologies today announced more than 20 leading Ethernet technology developers, solutions providers, and equipment manufacturers have signed on for its upcoming TeraFabric Plugfest. The latest in the organization’s successful series of interoperability testing events, the TeraFabric Plugfest is scheduled for October 22 – 26, 2012 at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL).

In the industry’s first broad-scope interoperability event, the TeraFabric Plugfest has attracted the participation and support of numerous key stakeholders from across full expanse of the Ethernet ecosystem. WHAT: A first-of-its-kind interoperability event, the Ethernet Alliance TeraFabric Plugfest brings together the complete range of Ethernet and related technologies, including Data Center Bridging, 10GBASE-T, 40GE, and high-speed cabling. With the wide array of high-speed Ethernet devices and solutions accessible during the plugfest, the event will culminate with the construction of an integrated network capable of supporting a one-terabit data flow.
