LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) and Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) will hold a series of 27 informational seminars in cities across Kentucky for KRS retirees interested in learning about their new Medicare Advantage health plan options through Humana.
The new plan, effective January 1, 2013, offers KRS members a wide array of health and wellness benefits, including industry-leading clinical programs and access to fitness center memberships through SilverSneakers®. SilverSneakers offers free health education seminars, exercise classes and social activities that help members manage their health and allow them to interact with others who share an interest in a healthy lifestyle.

The contract with the Kentucky Retirement System was awarded to Humana in August 2012. Humana will provide Medicare Advantage health plan options for up to 36,000 KRS Medicare eligible retirees.
