SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--According to Travelocity’s Fall Trusted Guide to Savings, which analyzes Travelocity booking data from September 11, 2012 to November 30, 2012, domestic airfare is up 2 percent and down 3 percent internationally for fall.
Price to Beat and When to Book for Fall
Knowing the Price to Beat and when to book is essential to snagging a good deal. For fall trips, travelers should look for flights under the average ticket price, $327, for domestic airfare and, $738, for international airfare - as these are the season’s Price to Beat. This fall, Travelocity travel experts found travelers are booking at the same time as last year, 72 days in advance of departure for domestic airfare, and 96 days in advance for international.
Average Daily Rate (ADR) for hotels is up both internationally and domestically compared to last year. Travelers planning fall getaways should keep in mind the Price to Beat is $135 for domestic hotels and $175 for international.
