BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InnoTrans 2012 was an all-round success. The world’s leading trade fair for transport technology fulfilled the high expectations of exhibitors and trade visitors in every respect. Business deals worth a total of more than 1.8 billion euros were announced at the fair. The framework agreement signed at InnoTrans between Deutsche Bahn and PESA in Poland for up to 470 diesel trainsets and worth a total of 1.8 billion euros exemplifies the importance of InnoTrans as a B2B platform for the rail industry. From 18 to 21 September, at the largest InnoTrans to date, 2,515 exhibitors from 49 countries exhibited their latest rail technology products in Berlin.

Around 125,000 trade visitors from more than 100 countries attended InnoTrans 2012, about 20 percent more than in 2010. According to a representative survey, over 95 percent of the trade visitors said they were extremely satisfied with their visit to the fair. Furthermore, over 90 percent rated the commercial results of their visit as “good” and said they would be back at InnoTrans in two years time. 104 world premieres were exhibited at the fair. Products included new vehicles, modern track technology and innovative communication systems.
