NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morgan Joseph TriArtisan LLC announced today that Stephen Robb, a 20-year Wall Street veteran in investment banking and M&A advisory, has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the firm’s Consumer, Retail & Leisure investment banking practice.

Mr. Robb, 44, was a Managing Director and head of the retail, consumer and restaurant investment banking group at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., after leaving Credit Suisse, where he spent the majority of his career. At Credit Suisse, he last served as a senior coverage officer for retail companies and head of the restaurant practice within the Consumer & Retail Group. Among his Credit Suisse assignments was the LBO of the Sbarro restaurant chain, the acquisition of Ryan’s Restaurant Group, the LBO of Michaels Stores and the sale of David’s Bridal, in addition to financing such companies as McDonald’s, Quiznos, Krispy Kreme, Blockbuster and Macy’s.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse’s Consumer & Retail Group, Mr. Robb executed numerous groundbreaking transactions across many industries. Among others, these included the sale of AT&T Broadband to Comcast, the sale of GMH (DIRECTV) to News Corp., the IPO of Telstra, bond financings for the government of Trinidad & Tobago, and equity capital placements for LUKOIL. Also, Mr. Robb has advised the government of Kazakhstan during its transition to independence from the Soviet Union and taught English in Seoul, South Korea.
Mr. Robb has an MBA in Finance, with Distinction, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute. He holds an AB in International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
