PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Continuing medical and pharmacy education experts Impact Education, LLC (IE) and RealCME, Inc. (RealCME) have joined forces to deliver innovative and engaging continuing medical and pharmacy educational experiences (CME/CE) on an advanced technology platform that addresses the needs of health care professionals focused on areas of managed care and payer related topics. The first curriculum of its kind, The Managed Care Review Board™ is specifically designed and developed for managed care professionals.
The inaugural program, supported by Novo Nordisk, Inc., titled “The Managed Care Review Board – Analysis of Therapies for Growth Hormone Deficiency and Growth-Related Disorders”, will launch in the first quarter of 2013. Additional curricula focused on other therapeutic categories are expected to follow pending approval from various commercial supporters.
The purpose of The Managed Care Review Board is to provide continuing education for managed care–affiliated learners to obtain timely and relevant evidence-based data on the latest clinical and economic outcomes that will impact their health care system. This approach will improve the competence and performance of managed care professionals by enhancing the results of their own health care system’s systematic literature reviews and analyses in order to ultimately improve overall patient outcomes.
The unique format uses an evidence-based process for making key decisions that lead to optimal patient outcomes for various conditions and diseases. The interventions provide an immediate learning opportunity as well as an enduring educational resource. The activity features an integrated multi-stakeholder approach based on the overall needs of managed care related to a specific therapeutic area of focus. The platform supporting all activities, developed by RealCME, offers real-time reporting and advanced analytics.
