GRANGER, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Barr-Nunn Transportation Inc. is releasing this prepared statement as our official communication relative to media inquiries regarding Wade Michael Page.
A Wade Michael Page, with a birth date of November 11, 1971 and a driver’s license from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was employed at the truckload carrier firm from mid-April 2006 through August 10, 2010 as a solo driver on non-dedicated routes.
This driver was terminated from employment for violating the company’s driver conduct/disciplinary policy regarding impaired driving, which also applies to personal vehicles on personal time. He was dismissed after an August 8, 2010 citation was issued in North Carolina for "operating a motor vehicle while subject to an impairing substance." Additional documentation indicates he refused to submit to a chemical analysis to determine alcohol concentration or presence of an impairing substance at the time of the citation. The driver was operating a personal vehicle on personal time when the citation was issued.
