Based on its monthly donations to the Foundation for African Medicine and Education (F.A.M.E), ADS was honored with the Humanitarian Award, presented by the Minister of Tourism in conjunction with the Tanzania Tourist Board. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Frank Artress and his wife Susan Gustafason, F.A.M.E. was started to help bring first world medicine to critically under-resourced health care in Africa.
