HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Legacy Multimedia has been recognized as a recipient of two Awards of Distinction from the 2012 Videographer Awards.
The 2012 Videographer Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in video and digital production and is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The Videographer Awards are among some of the most coveted in the video industry.
Legacy Multimedia’s two award-winning projects were chosen from approximately 1,600 entries submitted from the United States and other countries. Bill & Marilyn Flavin: A Family History won in the Video Biography category and 2012 Tapestry Gala Honoring Shahzad Bashir for Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston was honored in the Video Tributes category.
"The judges found Legacy Multimedia's tribute video to be a highly informative, moving and compelling tribute. The production was executed in a creative, professional manner," said Ed Dalheim, executive director of The Videographer Awards.
The goal of the Videographer Awards is to identify and recognize the video professionals doing outstanding work in a wide scope of categories. Winners range from network news operations to local cable access, from large production companies to freelancers, and from international advertising agencies to student producers.
"Although our clients praise the storytelling work we do, it is particularly rewarding to get positive affirmation from our peers in the industry. We at Legacy Multimedia pride ourselves on capturing the essence of a person, the unifying force of a group and the atmosphere of an event. My team and I do in-depth historical research and study our sources. Getting to know our subjects on a deeper level and conducting insightful interviews are the keys to enabling us to get to the heart and soul of a story," explained Stefani Twyford, founder and president of Legacy Multimedia.
Legacy Multimedia’s tribute video for Interfaith Ministries was shown before an audience of approximately 1,000 people at the Interfaith Ministries Tapestry Award Gala on May 3, 2012.
Elliot Gershenson, president and chief executive officer of Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, commented: “We are very proud of our association with Legacy Multimedia and Stefani Twyford for their incredible work in promoting Interfaith Ministries and our honoree, Shahzad Bashir. It is so hard to capture the essence of Interfaith Ministries and of an individual in a short video, but Stefani and her team did a great job. The moving piece captures the qualities that made Shahzad such an incredible honoree for our Tapestry Award.”
