A global authority on data analytics, Crovella is also a professor of computer science at Boston University.

Crovella has been a Professor of Computer Science at Boston University since 1994. From 2003-2004 he was a Visiting Associate Professor at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris VI (LIP6). He received a BS from Cornell University in 1982; he also earned an MS from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. The owner of five patents, Crovella co-authored Internet Measurement: Infrastructure, Traffic, and Applications (Wiley Press, 2006) and authored more than one hundred papers on networking and computer systems.
As Chief Scientist, Crovella is also an integral part of Guavus’s Technology Advisory Board, whose anchor members include Technicolor Chief Scientist Christophe Diot and University of Maryland Darnell-Kanal Associate Professor of Computer Science, Nick Feamster. The board’s primary responsibility is to keep Guavus at the forefront of a rapidly evolving data science landscape.
