WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Catholic University of America Master of Science in Business Analysis (MSBA) program graduated the largest class to date in a University-wide ceremony that featured Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York, as the commencement speaker. MSBA graduates attended a special reception in D.C. for family, friends, and faculty to celebrate and honor those who completed the program.
This year’s graduating class of 17 students has received 14 job offers within a month of graduation.
“We expect all of our graduates to be employed by the end of summer, and given their newly acquired level of expertise in business, we know they will thrive in their new positions and in their career,” said MSBA Program Director Stewart McHie. “Our students enter the program with top-notch communication and critical thinking skills, and we provide them with an ethical, experiential curriculum for succeeding in this increasingly competitive job market.”
Some of the companies that hired MSBA graduates over the last two years include Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, The Advisory Board, Aegis Media, the Corporate Executive Board, and the U.S. Department of the Interior, among others. This year’s graduates hail from 10 different states — in addition to Nigeria and Germany — and received their undergraduate degrees from such schools as the University of Virginia, the University of Nebraska, Thomas Aquinas College, and the University of Oregon.
“Last year’s graduates’ job performance has been exceptional and three have already received promotions or higher positions in other companies,” reports McHie. “A liberal arts undergraduate education together with the MSBA degree makes a compelling combination for job advancement.”
The MSBA program is expecting 18 more students to start the program for the 2012-2013 school year.
There are currently limited seats remaining for the fall 2012 semester, and some scholarship funds for those accepted. For more information on applying, visit http://msba.cua.edu/whoshouldapply.cfm.
