Proact (STO:PACT) has updated the IT environment of gaming platform company Boss Media in order to increase uptime and enhance reliability and performance within the company’s systems. For this project, Proact has implemented a solution consisting of a new disk system for primary storage, a disk system with deduplication for backup and a new virtual server platform at one of the company’s data centres. This project began in February 2012 and will be completed by mid-year.
Boss Media is a leading supplier of gaming and betting platforms for online gaming. The company develops and manages solutions for some of the world’s leading online gaming sites. Boss Media’s Swedish customers include Svenska Spel’s online poker platform.

In order to meet Boss Media’s requirements, Proact presented a solution which included a new disk system for primary storage, a disk system with deduplication for backup, and a virtualised server platform. And to enhance security in the system, all data stored is also mirrored to secondary storage units elsewhere in Europe.
