DULLES, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NIITEK, Inc., a subsidiary of the Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring") and Critical Solutions International (CSI), announced today their plan to display a dual-occupant Husky 2G Mounted Detection System (HMDS) at the upcoming Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France. The HMDS will be on display in the CSI exhibit, number K630, from June 11-15, 2012.
The Husky 2G is the two-man derivative of the legacy MK III Husky having the same reparability and mobility characteristics as the single-occupant MK III with increased protection and survivability. The additional vehicle operator allows enhanced operational capability through the use of additional sensors, more robust communications packages, and even remote weapons stations. Because of this optimized capability, operators can safely conduct longer and more thorough missions. This innovative Husky 2G vehicle was named amongst the Top 10 Military Inventions of 2011 by US Army Materiel Command. NIITEK’s combat proven HMDS is a multi-panel high performance VISOR™ Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system that provides rapid ability to scope out anti-vehicular landmines and other explosive hazards on main supply routes (MSRs) and additional open areas as needed and is the most widely deployed Vehicle Mounted GPR in use by U.S. & Coalition partners today.
