The SSAE No. 16 supersedes the previously accepted SAS70 reporting controls standard. These examinations assure the company’s information system reporting controls, processes and procedures adhere to, if not surpass, industry best practices. The examinations were performed by an independent CPA firm for the examination scope of all services MCS provides, including property inspections, property preservation and REO maintenance services. Addressed in SSAE No. 16 are the controls that MCS has implemented to prevent errors or omissions in the information the company provides to its clients. The SOC 3 covers the protection of systems against unauthorized access and the availability of those systems.
