TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nomura Research Institute Ltd.(NRI) (TOKYO: 4307), a leading provider of consulting services and system solutions, today announced that Nomura Research Institute Asia Pacific Private Limited (NRI APAC), a member of its group of companies, had established the "NRI APAC Jakarta Representative Office (NRI APAC Jakarta Office)" on April 27.
The Jakarta Office will undertake consulting and IT solution services for the distribution business sector in the Indonesian region.
The NRI Group has been quite active in various fields since 2011. Its activities have included the establishment of a base for a consulting business in India, capital investment in and strategic alliance with an Indian market research company, and the acquisition of an Indian IT company to make it a subsidiary. The reinforcement of its business promotion structure in Asia has been pursued through the reformation of its Singapore local company to make it the core of its Asian business development, increasing capital investment and renaming it as NRI APAC last April. The establishment of the Jakarta Office is one of these trials.
