Frontier’s Denver-Bismarck Service Takes Off Today

Airline brings low fares, customer-friendly service

DENVER--()--Frontier Airlines’ year-round, nonstop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Bismarck Airport (BIS) in North Dakota takes off today, bringing with it low fares and customer-friendly service. The new service will operate five days each week.

Representatives from Frontier, members of the Bismarck/Mandan Chamber of Commerce, airport staff and government officials will participate in various events Thursday to celebrate the launch of the new service – including a meet and greet with the Chamber and a news conference at the airport. The first flight from Denver will be welcomed with a water cannon salute and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Additionally, Frontier is partnering with the Central Dakota Humane Society to solicit donations. Everyone who donates an item on the society’s wish list May 18-31 will receive a FrontierAirlines.com promo card valued at $20. For details, visit FrontierAirlines.com/give beginning May 18.

“Community response has been incredible,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, Commercial. “Bismarck-area travelers were obviously crying out for low fares to Denver and other destinations in the West.” Frontier is the only low-fare carrier flying from Bismarck to Denver, and it also offers connections to popular destinations in the West including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

“We are excited to welcome Frontier Airlines to our community and state,” said Kelvin Hullet, president of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce. “With the dynamic growth occurring in western North Dakota, Frontier provides a low-fare alternative to our business and leisure travelers.”

Added Greg Haug, manager of the Bismarck Airport, “We are glad Frontier Airlines has decided to serve the Bismarck market. We feel it is a great business decision, which will in turn benefit the traveling public by lowering fares and adding much-needed capacity.”

Flights will operate on 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft, featuring onboard Wi-Fi and two-by-two leather seats. Four rows of STRETCH seating, with an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom, and the airline’s new SELECT seating product are available on every flight. Frontier is the only airline to offer an extended legroom option for travelers flying west from Bismarck. The airline’s website, FrontierAirlines.com, offers its guaranteed lowest fares and is the only place STRETCH seating and SELECT seating are available at the time of booking.
