Background and Challenge
The Queensland Government has significant resources invested in ICT systems and processes. The Queensland Government Chief Information Office is involved in ICT portfolio management and sector stakeholder engagement and it helps Queensland Government agencies implement consistent ICT methods and frameworks. The office develops best practices, guidance, process improvement and training for agencies and is responsible for gathering and analysing ICT data from across the sector. One of the responsibilities of the Queensland Government Chief Information Office is to support agencies in adopting mandated planning methodologies. It assists in annually collecting ICT investment data from across the sector via the baseline collection process.
The Solution
alfabet’s planningIT was selected as the solution to enable Queensland Government agencies to report their ICT baseline collection data, assist agencies with their planning activities, provide all stakeholders with a view of whole-of-government ICT baseline data and with analytical functionality regarding ICT baseline information to support investment decisions.
