SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Social network and online dating site Cafe4tune.com (http://www.cafe4tune.com) will release the details of its privacy policy (http://www.cafe4tune.com/Home/Privacy) today that has attracted tens of thousands of new members to the site since its beta launch in March.
Cafe4tune’s move to spell out its privacy policies on the site is aimed squarely at other social networks and online dating services criticized for privacy and security concerns.
The new privacy settings in Cafe4tune allow each member to manage incoming friend requests by selecting among three options:
1) the default friend request method, where all requests are highlighted as notifications and are pending for the user to react,
2) the automatic rejection of all incoming friend requests without any notification, or
3) the automatic rejection of all incoming friend requests with notification on who sent friend requests so that you are able to accept the requests you want later
If either of the latter two options are selected by the member, the system will send back an automatic message that you are, in general, not accepting new friend requests.
According to Cafe4tune Founder Artases Oikonomidis, “Our new privacy settings were developed in response to our members’ interest in the ability to politely refuse any unwanted connection requests. This will help each person to better manage his or her friends lists without affecting potential and existing relationships.”
