Mayor Rawlings-Blake will join Exelon and Constellation to announce a major contribution to the Maryland Science Center to fund a new energy exhibit that will improve educational opportunities for Maryland and Baltimore students.

Background: As part of its merger with Constellation in March 2012, Exelon committed to maintain charitable giving of at least $7 million per year in Maryland and Baltimore combined for the next 10 years. Exelon’s contribution to the Maryland Science Center fulfills part of this commitment. Exelon and Constellation are funding an interactive exhibit on energy in an effort to create science and math learning opportunities that will inspire young people to become the scientists and engineers of tomorrow.
