DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Infinite Family, the organization that supports distance mentoring of African youth affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty, has forged an innovative relationship with leading luxury destination club Inspirato to raise funds for its cause. By participating in Inspirato’s new online Inspired Giving platform, Infinite Family’s supporters can advance the organization’s mission to augment what’s taught in classrooms to help develop responsible, resourceful students as they prepare for lives as young adults.
Inspirato’s Inspired Giving was designed to help charitable organizations like Infinite Family raise funds in a new way. Donors who contribute $2,000 to Infinite Family’s cause through the Inspired Giving website gain access to Inspirato’s club-managed portfolio of vacation residences and unparalleled personal vacation services in locations ranging from California and Colorado to Mexico and Hawaii.
The Inspired Giving donation model benefits Infinite Family in a number of ways:
- For every $2,000 donated to Infinite Family through Inspirato’s Inspired Giving website, the donor gains one-time access to an Inspirato luxury vacation – priced at up to 50 percent under market, and without having to pay the $15,000 Inspirato membership fee.
- Inspirato contributes one Inspired Giving vacation that Infinite Family can auction to raise funds. Of those contributed monies, 100 percent goes back to Infinite Family.
- For every new Inspirato membership that is generated from an Infinite Family donation through Inspired Giving, the company gives $2,000 to Infinite Family as an Inspired Giving partner.
“The Inspired Giving program impressed us from the start – it combines insightful giving with luxurious travel opportunities that many people may not otherwise have the chance to experience,” says Amy Stokes, founder and executive director of Infinite Family. “Our donors get access to these incredible vacations in stunning locations around the globe. And they do this with the satisfaction of knowing they are advancing our program of video mentoring with African students.”
According to Stokes, all funds raised through the partnership go directly to launching additional mentoring labs, “Connecting more students with the hundreds of mentors who are awaiting the opportunity to work with them,” she says. Infinite Family has supported video mentoring of approximately 500 African students. Its mentors are role models who teach, encourage, challenge, and befriend.
Siyabonga is one example of a youth who was involved in this program. He relied on his mentor, Chuck, for extra encouragement and support while he prepared for a university engineering program; Delphina, who needed to develop her public speaking abilities for a class and, with help from her mentor Nancy, has gone on to study human resources at Damelin College; and Songezo who, with help from his mentor Gail, boosted his confidence while gaining life-long skills in technology, self-advocacy and communication. While the program’s mentees benefit from the experience and knowledge of adults worldwide, the mentors carry a special piece of Africa in their hearts.
For Infinite Family’s donors, the donation and vacation booking experience is simple: the donor is given access to Inspirato’s Inspired Giving exclusive web portal, www.inspiredgiving.com; selects Infinite Family as the charitable organization of choice; and makes a tax-deductible donation of $2,000. That donor is then able to book a vacation to a luxury Inspirato destination and enjoy all that Inspirato members enjoy, including: personalized service from an Inspirato vacation advisor, an on-site destination concierge, and luxurious accommodations ranging from intimate, couples-only, one-bedroom retreats to large, well-appointed homes in excess of 3,000 square feet.
“We see that Infinite Family and its mentors provide a real gift to the children of Africa,” said Jackie Benton, executive director of Inspired Giving. “We are in the fortunate position of bringing an innovative fundraising opportunity to Infinite Family and helping generate year-round, sustainable funding for its important programs.”
