Former Sprint Executive Danny Bowman to Advise Wireless Customer Messaging Company Cenoplex

Wireless Industry Innovator to Join Board of Advisors as Cenoplex Continues Drive for Adoption of Actionable Audio Message Technology

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Cenoplex™ has announced the addition of Danny L. Bowman to its advisory board. The well-known former president of the Integrated Solutions Group and iDEN at Sprint Nextel, Danny’s experience includes both field operations and executive leadership functions spanning more than two decades in the wireless industry.

Drawing on his vast experience in product development and management, sales, marketing and starting emerging businesses, Danny will join the Cenoplex strategy bench where he rounds out the newest senior advisors including former Verizon executive Robert Balascio and former president of Virgin Mobile Canada Robert Blumenthal. The advisory board is aggressively working to build recognition and support for the policy management and customer care issues that will drive adoption of Actionable Audio Message technology pioneered by Cenoplex, and to create collaborative relationships and partnerships with wireless operators and industry organizations.

“Each member of the Cenoplex advisory board is a leader in his field, and we are delighted to bring some of the brightest executives in the wireless industry to the table as we introduce Actionable Audio Message technology to the world,” said Gregory O. Welch, president and CEO at Cenoplex. “Danny understands both the strategy and necessity to deliver better wireless customer communications, and we are honored to have him on our team.”

With responsibility for Sprint’s suite of innovative integrated solutions as well as the company’s iDEN and push-to-talk platforms, Danny gained industry recognition in his role overseeing the wireless giant’s emerging solutions organization responsible for developing business and consumer solutions for the rapidly emerging machine-to-machine (M2M) and mobility computing markets. The Integrated Solutions Group offered a broad range of solutions for B2B and B2C customers and partners, including “infotainment” such as e-readers and netbooks, asset tracking, fleet management, telematics, smart grid, digital signage and telemedicine initiatives.

“The future of wireless customer care will be fueled by wireless operators’ ability to more efficiently and cost effectively reach subscribers with intelligent, precisely targeted information,” said Danny Bowman. “Yet we continue to cling to legacy customer messaging and communications systems that ignore and devalue this imperative. The Cenoplex solution, Actionable Audio Messages, is unique in its ability to promote better customer service and subscriber account self-management, while it taps into the incalculable capital that lies at the heart of a more efficient customer care model.”

Danny’s career spans various wireless industry executive and management positions as a vice president of several Sprint and Nextel divisions - including the company’s Customer Equipment, Wireless Data Services, and Industry Sales divisions - where he led product strategy and planning, procurement, forward logistics, vendor negotiations, and business growth initiatives.

He holds a BBA in Business Management from Evangel College, a leadership certificate in Business Administration and Management from Georgetown University’s The McDonough School of Business, and is currently earning his Executive MBA at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
