Dow Hotel Company Names Sean Klos F&B Director of Basil’s Kitchen in the Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

SEATTLE--()--The Dow Hotel Company, LLC, (DHC) a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced that Sean Klos has been named food and beverage director of the company’s Basil’s Kitchen restaurant located in the Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac), in Seattle, where he will also direct the catering and banquet operations.

Klos was food and beverage director for several operations in Seattle, WA, including Holland America Cruise Lines, Eurest Dining/Microsoft Schwartz Brothers Restaurants and Cucina Cucina. His restaurants and signature recipes have won numerous awards, including the L.A. Times’ 2000 Best New Cocktail List, Wine Spectator’s 2001 and 2002 Awards of Excellence for Resort Semiahmoo, Gourmet Magazine’s “Where to Eat Now in 18 American Cities” list for the Buzz Ibiza dinner club and 425 Magazine’s Best Cocktail on the Eastside for his Shiso Drop at Pearl Bar and Dining.

Basil’s Kitchen at the Embassy Suites SeaTac features innovative Mediterranean-style cuisine and traditional Italian favorites prepared using fresh, local ingredients and served in a casual, café-style atmosphere. Signature items include Scallops Mornay, Steak Vesuvio and Capellini Bianchini. The restaurant also serves 8,500 square feet of beautifully-appointed state of art meeting and banquet space.

Basil’s Kitchen is a restaurant concept developed by The Dow Hotel Company and named for Dow’s mentor in the hotel industry, Basil Miaullis.
