ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Society of Concurrent Product Development (SCPD) announced its Annual Conference will be held June 26–27 in the St. Paul area. SCPD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to disseminating the latest knowledge on concurrent product development (CPD). Our technology base is particularly valuable to companies wishing to learn from the trials, tribulations and ultimate resolutions of companies that have successfully implemented CPD methods (also known as Concurrent Engineering). We promote the integration of Strategy, People, Process, Tools and Technology while introducing innovations to the marketplace as the most effective means of reducing time-to-market, quality issues, redesigns and cost over-runs.
This dynamic conference features speakers from both industry and academia who will describe the benefits of Concurrent Innovation (Concurrency) and Best Practices for R&D Productivity. SCPD’s nonprofit status allows it to present these distinguished speakers at the very reasonable rate of $500 (for non-SCPD members registering before April 30, 2012).

Taking a concurrent approach and integrating the whole enhances many methods. This is significant, when R&D accounts for 10–20% of annual productivity gains in the USA, and typically averages 2.3% growth per year. We proudly offer this conference under the premise that Concurrent Engineering and CPD are integral parts of productivity growth. Concurrency is the guiding principle of innovation!
