MANCHESTER, United Kingdom--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BWA Water Additives today announced four key staffing developments.
To provide greater regional focus for the European and Americas Regions, Marta Farriols has been named Sales Director for the European Region and Erich Dawson has been named Vice President Sales for The Americas & European Regions. To strengthen BWA’s marketing and technology programs, a new Vice President of Marketing, Nozi Hamidi, has been added; and a Vice President of Technology, Alastair Sholl, has been named.
Erich Dawson, Vice President of Sales for The Americas & European Regions, completed his Bachelors of Science Degree at Virginia Tech, and then earned a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He joined BWA in 2001, serving as an Account Manager in North America and then as Director of Sales for the Americas. Erich will be located in Atlanta, USA, focussing on the Americas, and providing oversight support for the European Region as well.
Marta Farriols, Director of Sales, European Region, studied chemistry at the University of Barcelona, completing her degree at Queen Mary and Westerfield College in London. She joined BWA in 1999 as Sales Director for Western Europe and developed the Company’s desalination program globally. As Director of Sales for the European Region, Marta will be located in Barcelona, Spain, and provide customers with high-performance water treatment chemistries and technical support throughout the European continent.
Shanozi (Nozi) Hamidi joined BWA in February, 2012 as Vice President of Marketing, coming from Ashland WaterTechnologies where she served as Director of Global Marketing – Utility Water Treatment and Commercial/Institutional Segment. Nozi completed her studies in chemical engineering at Ohio University and then earned her MBA at Capital University. As Vice President of Marketing, Nozi will also be located in Atlanta, and will focus on the development of strategies and plans for the industrial water treatment and oil & gas markets globally.
Dr. Alastair Sholl has been named Vice President of Technology. Prior to that, Alastair served as BWA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs. Alastair completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Birmingham, and then earned his PhD in chemistry at the University of Liverpool. He joined BWA in 1993, where he was instrumental in achieving EU and U.S. EPA regulatory approvals for BWA’s industrial biocides, corrosion inhibitors, antiscalants and desalination technologies. As Vice President of Technology, Alastair will be located in Manchester, UK, and will head the world’s leading team of water treatment technology scientists who are located in R & D and technology centres in the UK (Manchester) and US (Atlanta).
