PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FastSoft, Inc., a leading Web acceleration software company, today announced support for Internet Protocol v6 (IPv6) in its E Series origin content acceleration appliance.
IPv6 is being embraced by many leading websites including Google, Yahoo! and Facebook, which have publicly stated their support for the technology.
IPv6 support is available in the E Series Appliance, and enables sites to accelerate content over both IPv4 and IPv6 networks simultaneously.
“IPv6 is the future of the Internet because it solves many problems with depletion of IPv4 addresses caused by the success of the Internet,” said Jerry Hall, FastSoft vice president of marketing. “Support for IPv6 in the E Series allows website owners to make the transition to the new protocol while still meeting the performance demands of their users.”
The E Series speeds dynamic websites, streaming video, virtualized desktops and file downloads by combining intelligent window sizing and smart congestion control to reduce the effects of network latency and packet loss.
It accelerates streaming and downloaded videos across the Internet or private networks to improve quality and playback performance. Videos start up to five times faster and streaming is “smoothed out” to eliminate playback hiccups and delays.
