CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Spark Technologies, the leading supplier of thin, flexible, eco-friendly printed batteries, has announced participation in Printed Electronics Europe 2012, a conference and exhibition hosted by IDTechEx. The annual event, to be held on April 3-4 in Berlin, Germany, highlights global technology advances in printed, organic and flexible electronics.
Blue Spark’s exhibit (Stand D108) will demonstrate how its low voltage printed batteries provide a primary power source in a wide variety of printed electronics applications, including: interactive packaging and merchandising displays for consumer goods; battery assisted RFID and RF-linked sensor solutions for product and asset tracking; powered “smartcards” that provide transactional authentication and security; and interactive printed media, such as books, magazines, toys, greeting cards and apparel.
Demonstrations and Presentation Highlight Applications
Visitors to Blue Spark’s exhibit can see the firm’s battery technology in action through hands-on demonstrations in which a 1.5 volt battery is paired with other printed electronic components, such as LED lights, audio chips and electro-chromic inks, to provide an interactive experience for users.
At the conference, Matt Ream, Blue Spark Technologies’ vice president of marketing, will speak about how printed battery technology enables a host of new applications in printed and traditional electronics. His program, Printed Batteries and Their Applications, is on Wednesday, April 4th at 11:15 a.m.
Blue Spark President and CEO John Gannon will present prior to the conference, on Monday afternoon (April 2) at the Pre-Conference Investment Summit.
