HKTDC: HTML5-TV-Box and Anti-Fingerprint Coating: Hong Kong Technology at CeBIT

FRANKFURT, Germany--()--27 companies (2011: 28) from Hong Kong will be showcasing their products under the roof of the joint stands in halls 13 and 17 organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at Cebit from March 6 to 10, 2012. They will bring a broad spectrum of new products ranging from Tablet PCs, HTML5 boxes and glass-free 3D display technology to accessories for smartphones.

To avoid fingerprints on touch screens BMC Accessories (A38-C7) uses nanotechnology for its “Mercury” brand anti-fingerprint coating available in a variety of colours. Zetakey Solutions Limited (A38-B10) will be displaying a WebKit-based HTML5 browser solution suitable, amongst others, for game consoles, mobile phones, navigation systems (“satnavs”) and eBook readers. Marvel Digital International Limited (A38-B5) uses innovative technologies to create intelligent multimedia products for home entertainment, hotels and the advertising industry.

Rechargeable batteries for mobile electronic equipment of all kinds, including replaceable notebook batteries, come from Cameron Sino Technology Limited (A38-B9).

Enzatec Marketing Services Company (A38-B11) designs stylish IT accessories like the ENZATEC and E-3LUE series for headphones and loudspeakers. In the near future, the company intends to introduce headphones with SD card playback onto the market.

Innovision Multimedia Limited (A38-B2) multimedia graphic cards, including the Inno3D® GeForce™ GT430 in the 4GB version, are a guarantee for gaming enjoyment at the highest level.

Safe data storage and high-speed transmission: Million Tech Electronics Company Limited (A38-B7) offers a high-performance scanner for RFID chips. It can be integrated into a CASIO IT-800 or used as a stand-alone unit.

Hong Kong’s industry recorded considerable growth for electronics and information technology in 2011. The electronic exports reached USD 237.26 billion (+ 9.4 percent). Main markets were China followed by the USA, EU and Asian States. Germany ranked six among the export countries. The Federal Republic imported goods for USD 4.44 billion (+6.9 percent).

Hong Kong’s imports of electronic articles also rose by 9.4 percent to USD 245.6 billion. Main import region has been Asia.

Exports of information technology increased by 14 percent to USD 48.6 billion in 2011. Main customer countries were China, the USA and Japan. Germany ranked fifth (USD 956 million, + 17.8 percent). Hong Kong’s imports of information technology rose by 10.5 percent to USD 45.7 billion.
