TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a move to enhance services for its growing number of Global Financial Institutions (GFI) customers in Japan, Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announced today it has moved to a new, larger branch location in Tokyo, Japan. Located in the center of Tokyo’s financial district, the new Wells Fargo office will help to expand the company’s existing GFI operations which provide payment, Yen depository accounts and trade processing services to Japanese and other international-based banks.
“With our new Tokyo location, Wells Fargo has the capacity to add more team members, and better serve our GFI clients by providing an expanding range of products and services that will ultimately help our customers be financially successful,” said Richard Yorke, head of Wells Fargo’s International group.
Nearly 40 team members from Wells Fargo’s International group will be based in the new branch, located at Marunouchi Trust Tower Main 24th Floor, 1-8-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan. In addition, almost a dozen team members from Wells Fargo Securities will also be based at the new location, providing Wells Fargo’s customers with greater access to both GFI and securities and capital market services.
As part of Wells Fargo’s International Group, GFI provides banking services to financial institutions, multilateral organizations and international agencies worldwide, including payments, collections, trade services and outsourcing, deposits, credit, foreign exchange, and risk management.
