Software-Defined Networking and Carrier Ethernet (Wednesday, February 22, 8:30 a.m.)

IP Infusion Vice President of Marketing Sandy Orlando will discuss the current and future direction of Carrier Ethernet services and equipment development and outline the role of software-defined networking in driving a sea change in the design and architecture of network equipment.

Introduction to the Open Networking Foundation (Thursday, February 23, 8:30 a.m.)

As part of the OpenFlow Workshop, IP Infusion’s Marc Cohn, senior director product marketing, and vice-chair, ONF market education committee, will represent the Open Networking Foundation and provide an introduction to the organization. Founded in 2011 by Deutsche Telekom, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Verizon, and Yahoo!, the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to rethink networking and quickly and collaboratively bring to market standards and solutions. ONF will accelerate the delivery and use of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) standards and foster a vibrant market of products, services, applications, customers and users.

Roundtable Discussions (Wednesday, February 22, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.)

As part of the event’s “Chat with Experts,” IP Infusion’s Peter Kao, chief evangelist and Shaji Nathan, director product management will lead tableside Q&A discussions on virtualization and Carrier Ethernet respectively.
