Symphony Advanced Media Appoints Market Research Veteran to Advisory Board

Appointment of industry leader Dr. Martin Lautman to advisory board strengthens company’s advertising performance measurement services

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Symphony Advanced Media (SAM), a provider of cross-platform advertising effectiveness measurement analytics and consumer insights and a member of the Symphony Technology Group, has appointed Dr. Martin Lautman as a member of its advisory board.

A 25-year veteran of the market research industry, Dr. Lautman is the former chairman and CEO of GfK Custom Research North America and senior managing director of ARBOR Research, the Philadelphia-based company he sold to GfK. Since leaving GfK, Dr. Lautman has been an active venture capital investor focusing on marketing research, marketing services and technology companies. He is currently the managing partner of Marketing Channels and a member of multiple public and private boards of directors and advisors.

In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Lautman has lectured on marketing, marketing research and advertising at Cornell University Hotel School and at Columbia University, and has taught entrepreneurial marketing strategy at the Wharton School. He received his BA in political science from Brooklyn College and his MS and PhD in mathematical psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
