INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2012. The Company generated 1.5 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), which was 1% lower than the same month last year, on a decrease in capacity of 3% at 2.0 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 75,178 in January 2012, a decrease of 5% from January 2011. Consolidated load factor was 72% in January of 2012 versus 71% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2.2 million passengers during the month, which was 2% lower than the prior year.
