Hurricane Electric Strengthens its IPv6 Leadership Role by Releasing IPv6 Certification Program in The Portuguese Language

As Brazil’s IPv6 week commences, Hurricane Electric Partners with NIC.BR, to roll out new certification offering

SAO PAULO--()--Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and leading colocation provider, today announced that it has partnered with NIC.BR, The Brazilian Network Information Center to provide its IPv6 certification program in Portuguese.

The launch of the Portuguese certification offering comes at the start of Brazil’s IPv6 Week, a coordinated regional test of IPv6. Leading websites, content providers and ISPs will be participating.

Hurricane Electric’s new certification offering in Portuguese will feature content identical to Hurricane Electric’s existing programs. The programs are self-paced and certify levels of mastery (from “Newbie” to “Sage”) for real-world IPv6 concepts and deployment techniques.

“Hurricane is excited to continue its global leadership role in IPv6 education and awareness,” said Martin Levy, Hurricane Electric’s Director of IPv6 Strategy. “The timing of the Portuguese version of our IPv6 certification program, coupled with Brazil’s IPv6 week, will ensure a pool of certified Portuguese-speaking talents who are able to overcome the IPv4 address exhaustion issue and pave the way for widespread IPv6 adoption.”

With Hurricane Electric’s IPv6 certification, individuals and businesses will be able to meet the international standards and compliance for IPv6 deployment. Hurricane Electric’s IPv6 program will certify any professional to configure and validate IPv6 servers and equipment, allowing them to benefit from IPv6 connectivity, added security and protection, as well as greater performance.

Two weeks ago, Hurricane Electric announced that its IPv6 certification program has certified 4,000 IPv6 Sages in 100 countries. Sage is the highest level of IPv6 certification.
