Christopher A. Viehbacher and Sanofi to host Venture Day at CED Life Science Conference 2012

Programs for investors include partnering sessions and emerging company showcases

DURHAM, N.C.--()--CED, the Southeast’s largest entrepreneurial support organization, today announced Christopher A. Viehbacher and the leadership team of Sanofi will host Venture Day at the CED Life Science Conference, held Feb. 15-16, 2012, at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Venture Day is an invitation-only event bringing institutional investors together with the leadership team of Sanofi. Sanofi will discuss their plans for 2012. Including Sanofi, more than fifteen pharmaceutical companies have confirmed participation in partnering sessions during the CED Life Science Conference 2012.

“The world becomes a much smaller place at conferences such as this, providing invaluable opportunities for both startups and established companies to seek out suitable partners to forward innovation success,” said Viehbacher. “We are looking forward to both leading Venture Day and benefiting from the partnering activities at the Conference.”

The CED Life Science Conference also features the Biopharma and Medtech Emerging Company Showcases, which provide investors an opportunity to evaluate emerging-growth companies in the life sciences and keep a pulse on the latest industry trends.

More than 60 venture capital funds participated at the CED Life Science Conference in 2011.

The CED Life Science Conference is presented in partnership with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and North Carolina Biosciences Organization.

Registration and a full conference agenda are online at http://www.cednc.org/lifescience.
