STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
Aspiro (STO:ASP) has today signed an agreement with a new ISP partner, Ziggo, in the Netherlands, for a WiMP-powered streaming music service. The agreement provides Aspiro with minimum revenues of SEK 9 million over a period of two years.
“This agreement is in line with Aspiro’s strategy to expand our music streaming service WiMP into new markets, and we are very happy to partner up with Ziggo, a major operator in the Netherlands, who is showing great commitment for music through launching a state of the art music service.” says CEO of Aspiro Gunnar Sellæg.
WiMP is growing rapidly and is currently live in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Portugal, the latter under a different brand in cooperation with Portugal Telecom. WiMP is anticipating to launch in several new markets including Germany, Ireland and the Benelux. WiMP's key focus is to provide the best music experience – especially through helping users find music in the huge library with millions of songs. In July 2011, WiMP was elected the world's best music service at the Meffy Awards in London.
Aspiro reports its Year-End Report for 2011 on 3 February 2012.
This is information that Aspiro AB (publ) is required to disclose under the Securities Exchange and Clearing Operations Act and or the Act on trading in financial instruments. It was released for publication on 26 January at 08:30 a.m.
