Peab (STO:PEABB) has been contracted to expand the E6 outside Trondheim in Norway. The client is Public Roads Administration and the contract amounts to 180 million NOK. The work includes adding 2.6 km four-lane road, 1.5 km local road, pedestrian and cycle paths, four bridges, an intersection with associated ramps and more. It is a turnkey contract, where work will commence in January 2012 and opening for traffic is estimated to October 2013. - This is Peab's first road project in Trøndelag and we are pleased that we have this confidence. The project will be done through a collaboration between civil engineering in Norway and in Sweden, says Thorbjörn Eng, adm. Dir anlegg Norway.
