CLEAR CHANNEL AIRPORTS RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Unveils New State-of-the-Art Digital Displays, Interactive Touch-Screen Kiosks and Charging Stations
Clear Channel Airports (CCA), the world’s leading marketer of airport advertising and a division of one of the world’s largest outdoor advertising companies, Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCO), today announced the multi-year renewal of its contract with Harrisburg International Airport (HIA), under which CCA is the exclusive advertising marketer for the airport.
As part of this long-standing partnership, CCA will invest in state-of-the art advertising displays at Harrisburg International Airport, including a new set of large format energy-efficient digital LED screens, computer charging stations, tension fabric displays, along with an interactive touch-screen kiosk that will provide information on the airport’s amenities and services. The new installments provide an upgrade to existing displays in high-traffic passenger areas throughout the airport’s concourses and baggage claim, aiming to improve passenger convenience and heighten the overall travel experience. The airport also offers FLYsmart, CCA’s free location-based mobile app that allows travelers to quickly locate services in terminals, as well as browse live feeds of arrival and departure information.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Clear Channel Airports and look forward to creating a new energy that will complement the seven-year old facility,” said Timothy Edwards A.A.E Executive Director, Harrisburg International Airport. “Harrisburg International Airport is one of the prime advertising locations within the state capital, and the enhancement of the CCA displays will provide businesses with even more imaginative and engaging ways to connect with their target audience.”
Harrisburg International Airport, located in Middletown, serves more than 1.3 million passengers annually. CCA will enable area businesses to communicate the vitality of the region and market to a captive, upscale travel audience via its new advertising displays.
“The demographic profile of Harrisburg International Airport is unique. Reflecting its location within the state capital, the airport serves a diverse population of government leaders and Central Pennsylvania business travellers and we are thrilled to introduce our newest and most innovative advertising platforms to this audience segment,” said David Lorenzo, Project Sales Manager, Clear Channel Airports. “With the newly extended contract, our roster of existing clients will now be able to plan their budgets early and fully reap the benefits of the enhanced displays.”
CCA will replace existing edge-lit signs with the aforementioned energy-efficient LED displays, and pay-phone structures with computer charging stations that come with tension fabric displays in all three of Harrisburg International Airport’s concourses. CCA will also be installing eight 52” LCD screens in the baggage claim area, which will house a DSC3 interactive digital touch-screen. Additionally, the main security check-point will receive a 46” LCD sign that will update passengers with airport information.
