European TVLinks - Serves 55 Million Monthly, One of the Largest Video Search Engines on the Internet, Announces New Features

MADRID--()--European company TVLinks, one of the largest deep index video search engines on the Internet, announces the release of a personalized scheduling service for online and offline video content.

Together with this service, TVLinks launches a comprehensive TV Schedule guide. This guide will be available free to all users, while personalized scheduling is available to registered users only.

TVLinks has grown from 4 million monthly visits in June 2010 to over 55 million in November 2011. Since 2010, the company has relaunched its video search engine, powered by proprietary algorithms and redesigned the features of its companion entertainment portal.

The search engine benefits from deeply indexed content listings available from content partners such as Amazon VOD, iTunes, Hulu Plus, CTV, Rogers Canada and more than 2000 small independent websites. These partners generate millions of euros in revenue from TVLinks enabled customers.

The entertainment portal is built to maximize user input, following the model of Wikipedia: users contribute and self-moderate the majority of content. The database holds information for over 200.000 video entities, cumulating to millions of hours of video content that is classified and augmented by extended metadata such as real time discussions, news, reviews and clips.

"In the past year we've seen massive growth of interest for video content. This has been directly proportional with the increase in availability of video content across the world." said Adrian Constantin, Chairman of the Board for TVLinks. "We will continue to expand our deep index search engine with both new content and new content categories. Our stated goal is to index, classify and enhance with metadata all the popular video content on the web."

"As TVLinks has become one of the most important Web-wide start points for video content discovery, we're seeing massive interest from content creators that want to be discovered and want to reach as many potential fans as possible. We're very excited to be working on new tools to enable content creators, available from 2012."
