SSAE 16 supersedes Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 and now serves as the guidance for performing the service auditor’s examinations. The standard was changed in June of this year with the intention of updating the reporting so that it mirrors and complies with the new international service organization reporting standard.
