Leading provider of collaborative execution brings cloud-based supply chain solutions to the Chinese marketplace

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--()--E2open, a leading provider of strategic, cloud-based solutions for global trading networks, today announced its partnership with Shanghai Future Information Technologies Co. Ltd to further expand its presence in the rapidly maturing Chinese markets. With this partnership, E2open will focus on the traditional, hard to penetrate, Chinese State Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Under the agreement, Future IT will resell, operate, and support E2open’s cloud-based supply chain solutions in China. E2open recently received approval from the Chinese government for a license as a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise.

“Chinese State Owned Enterprises are modernizing their supply chain management practices and IT infrastructure,” said Roger Zhang, managing director at Future IT. “We are excited about combining E2open’s cloud-based supply chain management solutions with our experience and success in serving Chinese SOEs to deliver significant value to local Chinese businesses.”

To augment E2open’s delivery capabilities in China, E2open will partner with Camelot Information Systems Inc. (NYSE: CIS), a leading provider of enterprise solutions and IT outsourcing services. Camelot has a deep understanding of critical business requirements at Chinese companies of all sizes, and will provide local support and professional services as business demand grows.

“Today’s leading Chinese corporations are focused on improving operational performance in order to compete more effectively in the global marketplace,” said Jacob Qian, vice president and general manager of East Asia at Camelot. “E2open delivers solutions that enable companies to manage businesses across multiple enterprises, and to collaboratively resolve supply chain exceptions in real time. We are excited to help tailor these solutions to the Chinese market.”

E2open CEO Mark Woodward finalized the Future IT partnership at a signing ceremony on November 15 in Shanghai, titled “风起云涌 ,蔚为壮观, 蔚莱祝您改变未来 / The Future is Now: Supply Chain Transformation in the Collaboration Cloud. The list of attendees featured ranking officials of the City of Shanghai, China Shipbuilding Association officers, Shanghai Maritime University professors, and executives from leading Chinese companies in the shipbuilding, aerospace, automotive, industrial, and technology sectors.
