Kikkoman Expands Marketing Efforts with New Mobile Program Powered by Hipcricket

Consumers Can Use Mobile To Receive Innovative Turkey Brining Tips and Coupons this Holiday Season

KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--Mobile marketing and advertising leader Hipcricket, an Augme Technologies, Inc. company (OTCBB: AUGT), today announced that Kikkoman has selected its platform to power a holiday-themed mobile marketing campaign that highlights the use of Kikkoman’s soy sauce in brining a turkey for additional flavor and extra juiciness.

Consumers can text the word “BRINE” to 30333 to receive cooking tips and a coupon from Kikkoman. The mobile call to action is being promoted through in-store advertising where Kikkoman products are sold.

Participating consumers will be sent a message with a link to Kikkoman’s mobile website where they can provide their email address to receive a coupon. Consumers can also sign up to receive monthly recipes for Kikkoman products, furthering the company’s mobile customer relationship management (CRM) strategy to maintain and build interest and engagement. Kikkoman’s Facebook page can also be accessed on wireless devices, leveraging the convergence of mobile and social.

The program launched in early November and will run through the holiday season.
