e-Identity Solutions Usher in Return to Revenue Growth for TNS

RESTON, Va.--()--Transaction Network Services (NYSE: TNS) is celebrating a return to revenue growth within its Telecommunication Services Division, after its unmatched e-Identity solutions helped that part of the business increase revenues by 15.2% to $74.5 million for the third quarter of 2011.

As one of the leading providers of IP and SS7 networks, intelligent IP directory services and roaming enablement platforms, TNS’ Telecommunication Services Division is focused on helping carriers expand their reach, evolve their networks and capture new revenue opportunities. Recently TNS has significantly strengthened its e-Identity suite which marries direct-sourced telco data with solutions that reduce routing cost and complexity for communications companies.

TNS’ e-Identity solutions also include Name Caller ID from Cequint, which recently announced a new agreement with T-Mobile that will see Name ID become available on a range of T-Mobile handsets. Similar to traditional landline Caller ID, Name ID securely accesses operator-sourced name information managed by TNS, and displays it on the incoming call screen to reveal the name, city and state of previously unknown callers who are not stored in a mobile phone’s contacts or address book. This empowers users in a variety of ways, such as saving new contact information directly to their address book, declining unwanted calls, and maximizing the value of their calling plans.

In addition to CNAM and Name ID, TNS’ e-Identity solutions include its Carrier ENUM service, an IP registry system designed to empower operators with all the regulatory and carrier information necessary to terminate calls, picture mail and text messages to the proper location in the most cost effective manner. Number Portability services deliver essential network and database capabilities to route calls to ported numbers and manage porting operations easily with speed, accuracy and security. Additionally, TNS’ Toll-Free Database service enables local carriers to provide subscribers with access to 800, 888 and 866 numbers for toll-free routing.
