WAYNE, Pa.--()--Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. (Octagon) today reported 20% total revenue growth year-to-date over 2010. The growth is a combination of new and existing customers and includes revenue growth in services, outsourcing and software business areas. Octagon’s professional team in US, UK and India now support more than 350 customers on three continents and across all tiers (ranging from biotech companies to 17 of the top 20 global Pharma).

“Octagon is experiencing strong, sustained demand across our software, services and outsourcing solutions which facilitate our customers’ adoption of data standards as the catalyst for electronic transformation, process synchronization and resource optimization,” said James C. Walker, Octagon’s chairman and CEO. “Octagon’s approach is unique because it integrates the acquisition, use and archiving of clinical data throughout the product development and regulatory submission process. This improvement of processes establishes enhanced data analysis capabilities, time-to-market gains and cost efficiencies, ultimately benefitting the life science innovation environment and global patient population.”

Through its CDISC-enabled solutions and services, Octagon has landed hundreds of new projects this year. The increased demand has resulted in expansion and nearly 100 new hires to date this year across Octagon’s offices including the opening of offices in London, United Kingdom, and in Bangalore, India.

Recent initiatives driving Octagon’s growth this year include:

  • Octagon is working with CDISC, ScenPro and the FDA to support the FDA’s large-scale complex project of converting legacy study data to an electronic standard format(s).
  • The launch of new Octagon software products, including FUSETM EDC and the QuantumTM platform, which are creating new business opportunities and industry exposure. These products include protocol, content and submission management software and new publishing modules installed on-site or via a SaaS model.
  • Octagon’s services and CDISC-enabled offerings including programming, statistics and related training continue to experience strong demand.

Walker noted, “With FDA embracing new clinical data standards, companies must understand and embrace these standards or potentially risk longer product development and regulatory review times. Octagon understands this dynamic and has developed innovative software products and services to help the pharmaceutical industry manage this process better.”
