(NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced that its Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad have made their debut in Brazil, supporting the Brazilian Portuguese language. Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have experienced rapid global adoption and expansion, with downloads in the tens of millions as they enable people all over the world to quickly and easily speak text for SMS messages, emails, social media updates, mobile Web searches and more – up to five times faster than typing.
Brazil is the 25th country where Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have been made available by Nuance in the last year across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The Dragon Apps continue to secure the #1 and #2 spots in the App store in nearly every country launched. And because the Apps feature multilingual capabilities people worldwide can easily switch between supported languages as they come available.
Dragon Dictation is iOS-4 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons that enable users to easily access email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon Dictation also includes a convenient Auto Save function that retains dictated text when the user is interrupted by an incoming phone call.
Dragon Search for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, also now available on the App Store, allows users to simply speak any search query to quickly and easily find information and answers on the mobile Web.
